About the School of Theatre Training Classes
Core Classes are
designed for students who have some experience in theatre and are
looking to strengthen principle skills in the areas of Acting,
Improvisation, Musical Theatre or Shakespeare. After completing the
audition, students will register for a core class based on their
interests and the suggestion of the instructors. Classes meet once a
week for 90 minutes.
Intensive Classes and Specialty Classes
are designed for students who demonstrate
advanced skills in theatre techniques and seek a demanding and
concentrated course of study. Students are assigned to an intensive or
specialty class based on their audition. Classes meet once a week for 2
hours.
Performance Company, Junior Performance Company and Home
School Acting Troupe provide
experienced students an outlet for performance. There will be one
intensive rehearsal period in the fall followed by performances in a
variety of venues throughout Charlotte during the school year.
Interested students must audition during Intensive/Specialty Class
auditions. |
