Creative Drama

Creative Drama classes offer our youngest students a exciting introduction to performing. Students gain the ability to express themselves, build confidence, explore their imagination and develop basic social skills while learning theatre concepts and terminology. New materials are explored every session and change each year to create an engaging experience as children progress through the program.

Students ages 2-3 can participate in a shared experience with a guardian, in our Side by Side classes.

Students ages 3- 4 engage in creative drama and movement activities in, My Spotlight.

Students ages 5-6 explore the ground work for theatre through vocabulary and characterization while dramatizing selections of current children’s literature in Acting Adventures.

Shooting Stars introduces 1st-2nd grade students to scripts, improvisation, and theatre terminology preparing them for entry into the School of Theatre Training. Our new Creative Drama course,

Young Performers (grades 3rd-5th) is an opportunity to bridge dramatic play, storytelling and literature.  This course will culminate in a shared one-act short play on the final class day.

Creative Drama classes are offered in Fall and Winter sessions.
