Creative Drama

Creative Drama classes offer our youngest students a playful introduction to performing. Students gain the ability to express themselves, build confidence, explore their imagination and develop basic social skills. Students typically enroll in several sessions but can participate in sessions independently if desired. Creative Drama classes are designed for beginning and returning students and explore new material each session. Students ages 2-3 can participate in a shared experience with a guardian, in our Side by Side classes. Students ages 3- 4 engage in creative drama and movement activities in, My Spotlight. Students ages 5-6 explore the ground work for theatre through vocabulary and characterization while dramatizing selections of current children’s literature in Story Starters. Shooting Stars introduces 1st-2nd grade students to scripts, improvisation, and theatre terminology preparing them for entry into the School of Theatre Training. Creative Drama classes are offered in Fall, Winter and Spring sessions.
