Ensemble Audition Request Form

Program Description
Children's Theatre of Charlotte provides FREE pre-professional training to high school actors who possess evident ability and a strong commitment to theatre work. Selected by audition, the students may receive school credit as part of our partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Ensemble meets for three-hour classes most Saturdays and Sundays throughout the school year to study voice, movement, characterization, script analysis, improvisation, and production. The company produces a full-scale production at the end of the season. Many Ensemble members go on to pursue acting in college and in their careers. Students have advanced to nationally recognized theatre programs at NYU, Northwestern, Boston University and UCLA.

Audition Requirements
Auditionees should arrive 15 minutes prior to their selected audition time, bring their resume and headshot to the audition, and have two contrasting monologues prepared not exceeding 3 minutes in length combine. If necessary, callbacks will occur Sunday, Aug. 29, 3:00-6:00 pm.

Please read the following waiver, which you agree to by submitting your audition appointment:

I acknowledge the time commitment required of the Ensemble Company. I agree to release and discharge Children's Theatre and its officers, directors, and agents of and from any claims, demands, or liability of damage arising from the participation of my student in any classes and programs sponsored by Children's Theatre of Charlotte. In addition, I understand pictures of classes may be taken and used for publicity or promotional purposes. I consent to any medical treatment necessary for my student in an emergency and acknowledge that any expenses incurred are my sole responsibility and will not be paid for by CTC.
