There are many family-friendly destinations in uptown Charlotte. Combine a visit to ImaginOn with a stop at one of our neighbors!

Enjoy an ImaginOn activity.
The Public Library staff at ImaginOn always have ongoing programs, activities, story times and exhibits throughout the building for all ages. Check the ImaginOn website for current events throughout the building.

Have Lunch or Dinner, Even Go Bowling!
Near the Lynx light rail line from ImaginOn are several restaurants, including Cosmos Cafe, Fuel Pizza, Mert's Heart and Soul, The Pita Pit and Brixx Pizza. Brixx is a great family friendly restaurant that offers an excellent kids menu as well as group and family style options for larger parties. Be sure to bring your ticket envelope; there is a Brixx coupon on it! There are numerous other restaurants nearby, and ImaginOn is just a few blocks from the new EpiCenter.

Visit one cultural neighbors.
ImaginOn is in walking distance of Discovery Place, the Levine Museum of the New South, the Mint Museum of Craft +Design, the Afro-American Cultural Center, the McColl Center from Visual Arts, and the Charlotte Trolley.

Group Reservations and Payment

Our approach to group sales makes the planning for your group process easy and efficient. Group reservations require a non-refundable 10% deposit to hold seats. Up to 10% of a group order (maximum 20 tickets) can be canceled without penalty up to the time of final payment, which must be received by the theatre one month prior to the performance.

Immediate payment is required for small groups and parties booking within thirty
days of a performance. Children’s Theatre of Charlotte can accept Visa, MasterCard, Check, Money Order or cash. All credit cards purchases incur a $5 handling fee.  Group sales are final. We are unable to offer exchanges or refunds on group tickets.

Tips for Planning Your Group Outing

Plan Early
The earlier you plan, the better. Allow time to make the proper arrangements, and by getting on people’s calendars early, you ensure maximum turnout.

Make it a Family Night Out
Avoid the matinee rush, let your group enjoy the theatre as a great way to start the weekend. An evening performance also increases your chance to secure the seats you need.
