Fall Session (10 weeks) - Oct. 6 to Dec. 15

Grades 5-12
Tuition: $250/session

Fall class offerings: 

Beginning Broadway Warm-up 5th-8th Grade – (Sat. 9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.) 
In this beginner-level dance experience, you'll have a blast as you set your foundations for musical theatre training! This curriculum focuses on elements from ballet and jazz styles as students develop movement sequencing and rhythm skills. This class is dedicated to learning technique and terminology without the added element of a final showcase.

Broadway Dancer’s Workout 9th-12th Grade – (Sat 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.) 
Students continue their dance training with advanced conditioning and strength training. Drawing from various musical theatre styles, this curriculum includes across-the-floor exercises and dance combinations. Large group dance numbers are explored while adding elements of acting and storytelling in the classic Broadway style.

Movement for the Actor 5th-12th Grade – (Wed. 5:30 p.m. –7 p.m.) 
In this class for the non-dancer, students focus on the release of tension in the actor’s body through a combination of work in yoga and Pilates, as well as foundational training in Alexander technique to improve their freedom of movement. Students explore additional work in mimicking “everyday scenarios” and character physicality.

Dance Technique for Musical Theatre: Ballet 5th-12th Grade – (Wed. 7:30 p.m. –9 p.m.) 
Ballet is the essential training for all other forms of dance, utilizing terms and techniques used in other styles. In this class, students train in beginner ballet technique, including barre and floorwork. They will develop proper body alignment with increased strength and flexibility; and finally, assembling the steps into a danced phrase.

Broadway Dancer’s Audition 9th-12th Grade – (Sat 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.) 
Learn how to break down dance combinations for “no-fear” auditions! For each class, students are taught a new large group dance combination, furthering their development of sequencing and reversing skills needed for a dance callback. This class provides exposure to multiple musical theatre styles while providing real-world experience.

Making Contact 5th-12th Grade – (Wed. 5:30 p.m. –7 p.m.) 
In this class for the non-dancer, students explore the fundamentals of “cause and effect” in movement training for the actor. This practice plays with balance, breathing techniques and finding the points of contact both emotional and physical. Partner and group work is explored to enhance focus, and the “give and take” in creative expression.

Dance Technique for Musical Theatre: Jazz 5th-12th Grade – (Wed. 7:30 p.m. –9 p.m.) 
Students train in beginner jazz technique, including Luigi warm-up, a program promoting body alignment, balance and core strength. They will interpret the emotional quality of music through dance improvisation. They also explore the dance style of Bob Fosse, a popular choreographer known for his hand and body isolations in performance.

Private Voice Lessons - for all experience levels

Grades 5-12
Tuition: $250/session

Students receive five half-hour lessons with one of our vocal performance professionals. Lessons are taught one-on-one with care for the developing voice. Students focus on resonance, breath control, intonation, and development of high and low registers. Additionally, tips for good vocal health are covered to prevent damage to the vocal chords. Whether they are new to singing or need coaching for an audition, private voice lessons are a great opportunity to maximize the singer’s vocal performance! Each lesson is 30 minutes, and lesson slots run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.  These lessons run from:
1st session - Oct. 6 to Nov. 3
2nd session - Nov. 10 to Dec. 15
3rd session - Jan. 12 to Feb. 9
4th session - Feb. 16 to March 16
