Children’s Theatre of Charlotte recognizes consistent dance or movement training is critical to an actor’s development. Because of this, we offer group classes for both acting and musical theatre students. Our classes help build a foundation for the physicality necessary in the craft of acting as well as the basic techniques necessary for musical theatre auditions and choreography. Students are encouraged to take these classes for multiple sessions, as new materials are used to explore the same foundational techniques which may require years for mastery.

Additionally, we recognize that many young performers are not confident in their singing skills, and group singing classes can be intimidating. Private lessons offer them the chance to work on the their voice in a safe one-on-one setting, until they are ready to perform in public or in front of others. This is a great entry point for new students, or for those continuing to make progress in their personal goals.

Registration Dates: Early registration for donors opens Tuesday, April 23. Early registration for families currently enrolled in our education programs and season ticket subscribers opens Thursday, April 25. General registration opens Tuesday, April 30 (links to register will be active when registration opens).
