Our Response to COVID-19

In light of ongoing developments involving the COVID-19 pandemic, Children's Theatre of Charlotte canceled all remaining Spring 2020 public, school field trip, and touring performances after March 13, 2020. Additionally, all scheduled Mini-Camps, Master Classes, Early Childhood programs, and satellite location Summer Camps were canceled through August 2020. Select Summer Camps moved online, and an enhanced safety and social distancing plan was introduced for all in-person Summer Camps. All ticket holders and participants have been notified and offered refund and credit options.

Looking forward to our 2020-2021 Creative Drama and School of Theatre Training programs, additional safety policies and procedures have been put in place to ensure our class experiences are safe, comfortable and fun for everyone.

Our new week-long mini-camps provide a safe, reliable resource for families looking for creative solutions this school year, combining supervised time for school curriculum and fun theatre activities led by our teaching artists.

For the 2020-21 Season, we have partnered with Broadway On Demand to provide at home and school streaming access to four timely works as the curtain rises virtually on a season of stories centered in community and kindness.

We will continue to update our patrons and program participants directly via web, social media, and email if there are any additional changes to our programming.

The impact of canceled school, touring company, and public performances will have very real financial consequences for Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Making a gift to support the theatre or purchasing a non-expiring gift certificate is highly valued during this critical time.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call 704.973.2828 or email our box office. Our Box Office staff is currently working remotely during this health crisis but is still available Monday - Friday to assist you.

We thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support.
