Who lives in a pineapple under the sea and became the hottest star on Broadway? Why, it's SpongeBob SquarePants! Join us for this one-hour edition of the hit Broadway musical, brilliantly adapted from the iconic Nickelodeon series and onstage this summer!

Please review the Content Disclosure. After registration, students will complete a virtual audition before rehearsals begin to help the production team assign callbacks. Registration will close once the show has reached capacity.

Rehearsal Schedule

  • Week 1: June 1–5, 5:30-9 PM
  • Week 2: June 8–12, 5:30-9 PM
  • Week 3: June 15–19, 2-9 PM

Performance Schedule

About the Director

Claire HiltonClaire Hilton is elated to be directing for SummerStage, having previously directed LES MISERABLES: STUDENT EDITION, and BEETLEJUICE JR. A passionate theatre educator, Claire has taught, choreographed, and directed at The American Shakespeare Center, Lexington Children’s Theatre, Sigmon Theatrical, and Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Most recently, Claire served as the Director of Theatre at Charlotte Christian School, where her directing was recognized at the North Carolina Theatre Conference for 5 consecutive years. As a performer, audience members may remember her recent portrayals of Madison in THE INVISIBLE BOY, or Anna in DISNEY’S FROZEN, amongst others at the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Claire holds her BFA in Musical Theatre from Emerson College, and a Directing certification from The Barrow Group in New York City.
